Hello you all!!! ALvin has no blog, but I speak for him when I say, WE REALLY MISS YOU GUYS TOO! hahaha, I know this because when we were at Sentosa today, Alvin keep naggging abt 2e2!!! Really very ah gong (i.e. NAGGY) la! ((:

We really had alot to say lah.. Pity we had to leave so super early. ): But thanks all for showing me what great improvements a group can make! From the first day to the last, seriously, it was a 185 degrees turnabout. Our campfire performance even though it wasnt as smooth as we would have like, ALL of us had fun together, and Alvin and I couldnt have been happier! (((:

Thanks for everything babe (YES YOU ARE A BABE!) Great mirroring! Remember when we looked at the group and laughed sacastically on the first day. And all my whinnings and complainings. And your tiredness and lack of positive vibes. Ultimately, it really worked out good! And the end was definally so much better then it would have been if we'd started out with a perfect group in the first place! I agree with what heartbroken said in friendster that we work good together (esp kayaking! hahha) cause i really wouldnt have made it through the rough period without you! Keep rocking BABE!

Our Sengkang baybehs all ready to take on OCS so heres wishing him all the very best and may his hair grow at some breakneck speed and his buddy be oh so funny and not so garang (so as not to show him up.) Its gonna be weird for the next 3 weeks and counting :(

Put your hands to the sound

It only takes 1 person to spoil my entire day. But then again, it only takes 1 person for me the tell you that my week was awesome. :D

I cant tell you exactly how very very very glad I am ((: Its not the same, its different in a much much better way.

I'm putting of work till as late as possible because today will be the first day in my entire life I'm submitting a resignation letter (which I typed myself, no less).

Maybe I know what you're feeling, or maybe I THINK I know what you're feeling. But anyways, I'll be there for you - when the rain starts to fall. I'm no good at comforting people, this I'm painfully aware of. But I'm a really good shoulder and listening ear ((:

I'm super duper happy because High 5 is heading out on Sunday!!!! Yay!!!! I'll carry my big big heavy adidas bag on my sunburnt shoulder and sprint all the way out of Jbac just for these darlings! :D

When people try to put you down,

Camps really taught me so much. More than just the kids, I think the instructors ourselves are also experiencing something new everytime. Every single camp I've done so far (okay la, sounds like alot, but really, its only been 5 - believe it or not alvin and Jas) taught me something that I feel really would be important for the longest time to come.

With my most recent camps (not very recently actually, so sorry for the lagging blog) Bowen was my first attempts at rahrahing on a major level, STC showcased powerful debrief, and Peixin taught me to watch my words (Veron's stares are about 5 times more effective then words). But anyhow, what I wanna say is just that I'm glad to have been in this line, cause even if I'm not all that good at it, I know its helping me evolve into a better person.

One reason why I really like this camp thing is for the people. So that day at Jbac was a major turn off and hopes are its a one off thing. (: I've actually heard much tones of disapproval if one shd be in this line for anything other than the kids themselves. But instructors are mere homo sepians. If we're not happy, I doubt our kids will be too smily themselves. The signs of cracks dont mean anything good.

I know I'm new and all, but to dismiss what newcomers say as worthless isnt exactly the thing to do either right?

Camps also showed me how superficial some friends can be. Take heed, the keyword is some. I'm grateful to have met people like Jeremy Tang and Timonthy- who may not be close at all, but make a difference anyway, Sebas and Andrey- whom possess extremist and interesting characters, Jas and Sam and all the happy girls, Brother-ish people like Jermy and Arvin, Andrew my fated friend, Moon and Zhaoxiu and all the sweet girls, wise words from Zhijian and Neng, nice guys like Calvin, Joe, Randell and Weijin, and really almost every one has shown me something, whether positively or otherwise. But to say that our friendship is gonna last the time after camps would be taking a risk.

Perhaps like what Changtai said, as we get older, we find it harder to trust in our friendships, and hence, the more superficial they become. ): I dont agree with the trusting part. But time is a major factor. Face it, not everyone can be good friends. And when the golden old ones are fast demanding attention, the new ones sometimes become a challenge to maintain.

On that note, I must also say how touched I am that Harry walked all the way in to send me the NUS pamplets (although a quick glance at it left me tempted to render them useless). ((: And gossip session in my Auntie attired. Gotta say, it was good! hahaha, its funny how we're such good friends really. I wonder why too sometimes. (:

How often do we say "I cant help it"? But really, matured people control their actions and not let the actions of others control them. ( I think this is also said by Changtai, most probably in chinese haha) Someone found the nicest possible way to let me realize that I truely need a better grip on myself. :)

I dont like confrontation, but its been 2 blow ups in the past week. Well done me. ):

The first batch of botak boys are finally set lose! (: Ah, from boys to men, how touching! hahaha.

Should be sleeping by now as i dont think I've slept for more than 6 hours in the past 9 days. And most prolly wont get to either, but tomorrow is a new adventure! ((:

I'll like to teach the world to sing

We lie about so many things.

Its really tiring, more mentally then anything. These 2 weeks been crazy and anymore procrastination, I'll join the University next year.

We label everything. From ah lians to the ah sohs. From the stuck up to the immature people. Its human nature to stereotype. But it only gets sad when this stereotypical image is all you hold. First impression always counts; its always the strongest. But ultimately, it remains as an impression. Who you really are isnt determined solely by how you look, talk and act.

After all, a diamond resides in the middle of coal. In the case of people, a golden heart under the foul appearance.

I dont deny - labeling is fun. We paint pictures of the extreme, and laugh it off. The scary part of these seemingly for-pure-entertainment-only activity is when people live according to these labels. Not all smokers are inconsiderate; not all loud people are comfortable with themselves.

Me? I know I'm labeled sometimes. Its really up to you, because when I myself cant tell you exactly who I am, I dont expect you to confirm the impression you have of me is who i really am. But label on anyway- just dont put me down with it, cause because I accept your labelling, sometimes, it gets me down just a little.

But its alright, strong people down let dirt remain on their faces. And not-so-strong people will just have to learn to clean themselves up (:

Someone said tempers cant be kept in check. Complete nonsense. I consider my temper of an acceptable explosive range but even i frighten myself when it surfaces that once in a while.

More tomorrow, promise. Before I hit Eunice camp - the camp that hopefully will cement my resolve that HA rocks socks!
